    Beavers 6 - 8 Years

    Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouts. Their activities are based around making things, games, songs, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and making new friends. We also offer the chance to join a night walk and take part in a sleepover.

    Cubs 8 - 10.5 Years

    Cub Scouts work together in Sixes and try lots of different activities like hiking, exploring, music and collecting. We arrange plenty of activities and opportunities to go camping, sleeping in a tent alongside friends while joining in all sorts of exciting outdoor activities.

    Scouts 10.5 - 14 Years

    Scouts take part in a wide range of activities designed to help them stay fit and healthy, develop their skills and realise their potential. Our outdoor activities include hiking and survival, as well as more adventurous activities like camping, climbing and canoeing.

What We Do

Scouting is all about fun, challenge and adventure. Our exciting termly programmes are structured around more than 200 badge and challenge based activities covering everything from cooking and crafts to hiking and camping. This Week – 13 May

This week Beavers are meeting at the Hall for badge work and a session on road safety 5.00-6.30pm. Cubs are taking a break this week (no session). Scouts, in a change to the programme, are meeting at the Hall 6.30-8.30pm for first aid training.

Beaver Scout Leaders Needed

We're looking for volunteers to help run our Beaver Scouts (6-8 years). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working with young people, learn new skills and make new friends. Full training is provided through the Scouting Association. Please contact us for more information.

Our friendly, fun-loving group attracts young people from Bridestowe, Bratton Clovelly, Boasley, Lewdown, Lydford, Sourton and beyond. We help them learn new skills and experience the incredible environment of the Dartmoor National Park. But we’re about much more than the outdoors. We help our scouts make new friends, develop trust, integrity and a spirit of adventure. Come and see us in action at Bridestowe Village Hall.
