As a group, our policy is that phones (and tablets and other electronic devices) should not be used during Scout sessions unless leaders specifically state they may be useful for a particular activity.

Scouts are asked not to bring phones with them at other times. If Scouts do have phones with them, they should keep them in their bags. Carrying phones on their person is strongly discouraged, because of the risk of damage during games and physical activities. For the same reason, the use of phones on camp is strongly discouraged. If Scouts are found using phones for non-Scouting purposes, their devices will be placed in a group ‘phone box’ and will not be returned until the end of the session.

This policy is necessary, as the unregulated use of phones and other electronic devices is very distracting and disrupts activities. Please note that young people are responsible for looking after their own kit. Thank you for your cooperation.
