Beavers and Cubs are invited to join us for a summer camp at South Tawton 5-7 July 2019. The site owners prefer that users don’t advertise the location of the site, so details will be sent out by email. Please contact us if you need any further information. This will be an ideal first camp, as the site has great facilities, including shelters, flushing toilets and wash rooms, but there are also extensive woods and play areas to keep young people of all ages and abilities entertained. We will be practising our bushcraft, learning to build shelters, light campfires and playing games and other activities.
To book your place, please complete and return the activity information form to Simon Miles, Group Scout Leader, by Wed 3 July with your payment of £30 per person. Cash in an envelope or cheque payable to Bridestowe Scout Group.
The kit list below should help you prepare for camp. Don’t forget to pack some warm clothes as it gets cold on camp at night. A reminder that leaders don’t recommend bringing mobile phones or other electronic devices on camp owing to the risk of loss or damage. Young people are responsible for their own personal kit and leaders are not accountable for any loss or damage to young people’s personal belongings.
